I’m looking for a bay window curtain pole that won’t cost the earth!

The truth is, you get what you pay for and when it comes to curtain poles that’s just the way it goes!  The bigger the bay the more expensive it will be to find a pole that will not only look good but it will stay up.

If the bay is small enough or you are hanging fairly light curtains it’s worth look at bendable poles from high street places such as Next, Argos and even Tesco Direct.  Just make sure that whatever pole kit you choose make sure you get sturdy wall brackets and pass-over rings so you can pull your curtains open all the way.
